The United States of America may lose its supremacy as a superpower if our children of today can’t grasp the technologies of tomorrow. The trend has already been set. High-level engineering jobs are currently being outsourced to other nations, not only [...] Remember back in the days when you all would think about robots as something that man made so as to mimic what people (or animals) could do? Well, right now, things have changed. Robots could actually function more human- or animal-like compared to the very first robots which made most people look at them [...] Times have certainly changed – just look at what kids are playing with these days. While toy cars and dolls may still keep youngsters entertained, popular playthings of the new generation include video games, remote control toys, and toy robots.
The origin of toy robots can be traced back to the development of robots. [...] I had one of the toys when I was a child ( a police car i think) the little robot “plugged” into the hood of the car. These two girls age 8 and 10 say they want robot pets for Christmas. I think they mean cute dogs, bears or Pokemon-type critters, not the Mazinger-Transformer style robots. I’ll be visiting Jakarta soon and would like to buy in that city to make the gifts more special, i. e. coming from [...] I love the Schylling robots but they are made out of tin and are primarily collector items. My 3yr old would destroy it in 5mins. I want one of those robots that you can control with a remote and also program, such as i-sobot or robosapien. Can anyone recommend a good robot that is also fairly-priced, say within or below the 100 dollar range. Main character buys a cheap old one that is based off of a goliath beetle, hes mainly yellow. All of these robots are generally the size of 8 year old kids, are humanoid but generally based off of something else like animals, or a samurai, etc. I believe the name of [...] |
